In order to apply for an individual Center academic mentor, students must first try UW learning centers and/or CAE peer learning groups. If students feel they need a more individual approach, they are eligible to request an individual academic mentor.

Please note that the job of an academic mentor is to guide you through your own learning process. Therefore, it is crucial that you come prepared to your sessions and do not expect to be taught the material and always provided with answers. Having an academic mentor doesnt necessarily directly save you time to study, but it does help you become a more confident, self-directed learner.
