STEM Red Carpet Day is an invitation-only opportunity for selected incoming students and their parents/guardians to visit the UW-Madison campus and learn about science and math opportunities in the College of Letters & Science.

During the STEM Red Carpet Day, you will be introduced to directors, professors, and academic advisors of science-based disciplines and majors in the College of Letters and Science. A science and technology-themed lunch and roundtable conversations with undergraduate and graduate students will provide you with the opportunity to discuss as well as learn about the wide variety of science majors offered, how to declare a major and courses offered. You will also learn about campus programs and initiatives that will enrich your science and math knowledge, promote critical thinking and analysis, and hone research skills.
Some of the academic services and programs invited to present are the Residential Learning Communities (RLCs), First-Year Interest Groups (FIGs), Undergraduate Research Scholars (URS), Math and Computer Science Wisconsin Emerging Scholars (WES), Summer Collegiate Experience (SCE), The Academy, Wisconsin Alliance for Minority Participation (WiscAMP), Math Tutorial and Mathlab, Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), Chemistry and Physics Learning Centers (CLC & PLC), L&S Scholarships Office, CAE Academic Mentoring, and many others. The Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid offices are also represented.
