Conference Date for Spring 2024
Date: Thursday, February 22
The Empowering You Conference is a collaborative effort between the College of Letters & Science Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement (DDEEA). The conference is also supported through SuccessWorks at the College of Letters & Science.
The conference is designed to help students clarify their academic goals and connect their academic work with post-graduation careers and opportunities. The conference also aids students in preparing to enter a diverse and global workforce.
The conference is a professional development opportunity that provides first-generation and low-income students, students of color, students from rural backgrounds, and students with documented disabilities at UW-Madison with an opportunity to participate in interactive workshops led by campus and community partners and industry leaders.
The Empowering You committee has identified you as an integral campus or community leader and we would like to extend an invitation to participate in the conference. There are multiple ways that you, your colleagues, and your organization can be involved.
