The Empowering You Conference is a collaborative effort between the College of Letters & Science Center for Academic Excellence (CAE), and the Center for Educational Opportunity (CeO). The conference is combined with the Multicultural Career and Internship fair through the Letters and Science Career Initiative & Career Services.
The conference is designed to give students a jumpstart in understanding their academic goals and connecting their academic work with post-graduation careers and opportunities. Equally important, the conference aids in the preparation of the next generation of students entering a diverse and global workforce.
The conference is a professional development opportunity that provides first-generation, low-income students, students of color, students from rural background, and students with documented disabilities at UW-Madison with an incredible opportunity to participate in interactive workshops led by industry leaders, campus and community partners.
The Empowering You committee has identified you as an integral campus or community leader and we would like to extend an invitation to participate in the conference. There are multiple ways that you, your colleagues, and your organization can be involved.
