L&S STEM Scholars
The College of Letters & Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is home to the largest number of science, technology, and math-based academic majors on campus. A newly launched initiative, L&S STEM Scholars, aims to advance, expand, and transform the undergraduate science and math experience at UW-Madison.

The Lawton Undergraduate Minority Retention Grant is an incentive-based retention grant for L&S students, offered through collaboration between CAE and the Office of Student Financial Aid. This need-based grant is awarded to Wisconsin resident students from four targeted student populations (African-American, Hispanic, Native American (or American Indian), and Southeast Asian of Vietnamese, Cambodian or Laotian descent.
