Students who are required by the College of Letters & Science to take time away from UW-Madison because of their academic performance (often referred to as being “dropped”) may apply for readmission to the university after completing the required time away.
Although readmission is not guaranteed, students who have made intentional efforts during their time away to address previous challenges are typically best equipped to engage in the readmission process.
When considering an application for readmission, we encourage you to:
✔ Confirm that you are eligible to apply for readmission
✔ Review the readmission requirements and application process carefully
✔ Meet with your academic advisor to discuss your plans and goals
✔ Prepare and submit all required application materials by the stated deadline
