SOAR for CAE Students

If you aren’t participating in SCE, you will be arriving on campus Sunday, July 17 by 5pm to start activities for CAE and SOAR.

• English and Math placement tests are mandatory and we strongly encourage you to complete your language placement test if you are thinking of continuing a language.
• Register for SOAR as soon as possible as we are holding your spot for you.
• CAE will pay for CAE students’ accommodation, which will be a double room shared with another student.
  
• If your parents/guardians are coming and staying for SOAR with you, they need to make their own accommodations. CAE cannot pay for other people coming with you to SOAR.

July 17

3:00 – 5:00 PM – Move-in / Arrive at Lowell Center by 5PM

5:15, 5:20, 5:25, 5:30 PM – Walking groups to Dejope Hall

6:00 – 8:00 PM – Dinner with CAE cohort students, parents and staff (Dejope Hall, Lake Mendota Room)

July 18

6:30 – 8:00 AM – Breakfast at Lowell Center Dining Hall ( on your own)

8:50, 8:55, 9:00 AM – Walking groups to Gordon Dining and Events Center

9:00 AM – Transition to Gordon Dining and Events Center

9:15 – 10:45 AM – “CAE Meet and Greet” with CAE cohort students, parents, staff (Gordon Dining and Events Center, 2nd Floor)

11:00 – 11:15 AM – Walk to Union South for the start of SOAR activities

11:00 AM – 9:45 PM – SOAR, Day 1

July 19

6:30 – 8:00 AM – Breakfast at Lowell Center Dining Hall (on your own)

Prior to 8:00 AM – Check-out at Lowell Center by the study rooms (students will have an opportunity to store luggage in the study rooms)

8:30 AM – 2:00 PM – SOAR & SOAR activities, Day 2

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM – Lunch in Gordon Dining and Events Center (on your own)

After 2:00 PM – Departure
